The Mayor of Abergele, Cllr Alan Hunter, is preparing to take on his most daring fundraising challenge yet, a charity Fire Walk in aid of his chosen charity of the year, St Kentigern Hospice. Having previously braved the shark tank at the Blue Planet Aquarium in 2021 and completed a daring wing walk the following year, Cllr Hunter is once again stepping up to raise vital funds for local palliative care. St Kentigern Hospice provides essential, specialist palliative care and tailored support for individuals living with life-limiting conditions across the community.
Operating from a state-of-the-art 12-bedded inpatient unit, the hospice delivers personalized care and range of therapies aimed at enhancing quality of life for patients while extending dedicated support to their families. The Fire Walk will take place on Friday, 23rd October, between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM at RN Williams & Sons, St Asaph (LL17 0RE).
Members of the public wishing to support the Mayor's brave effort can make a donation online or by scanning the official QR code on the event poster. Every contribution, big or small, helps ensure St Kentigern Hospice can continue providing compassionate care to local families when they need it most.
