The Annual Meeting of the Council takes place each year by law under Section 12 of the Local Government Act 1972 Act, usually in May and must be held in public.
The 2025 Annual meeting of the Council took place on Thursday 1st May 2025, where the Deputy Mayor Cllr. Tracey Brennan was inaugurated as Mayor for 2025/26. Cllr. Alan Hunter was also inaugurated as Deputy Mayor for 2025/26. The Abergele Stoke Club, Chair Barabara Pilley and Treasurer Andrea Short, received an Award for their services to the Community of over ten years and the new Mayor was presented with a bible by the Gideon’s Society.
