Abergele Fun Day 2025

Abergele Fun Day 2025: A Celebration of Community Spirit

On Saturday, July 27th, Abergele’s Pentre Mawr park was transformed into a lively hub of celebration for the Abergele Fun Day 2025, proudly hosted by Abergele Town Council with support from Events Conwy. The event brought together residents, families, and visitors for a day of fun, entertainment, and community connection.

Abergele TV was on hand to capture the event, creating a fantastic slide show showcasing the Fun Dog show and community stalls including Abergele Rotary Club and Men’s Shed.

Abergele Town Council’s stall was easy to find with a cascade of bubbles leading to the free goody bags, funded by the Town Council, and supported by our local Tesco.

Anglesey Inflatables brought their eye-catching, larger-than-life inflatable dino, and children enjoyed sliding and bouncing on the mega-slide and bouncy castles.

Scaly Safari Reptile Experience gave attendees the chance to get up close and personal with fascinating reptiles, including snakes and a blue-tongued skink. The expert handlers provided a safe and educational reptile-handling experience that thrilled both kids and adults.

Roxanne Anderson returned to Abergele following her fantastic performance last year. This year, she invited children to try out the hoop themselves under expert supervision, adding a unique and interactive twist to the day.

The entertainment lineup was a major highlight, featuring a mix of music, character fun, and live performances.

David Herzog, in double-duty as compere and entertainer, brought a mix of acoustic charm and upbeat tunes, adding a relaxed, feel-good vibe to the afternoon.

SH Kids Parties with Blippi was a huge hit with younger attendees, with Blippi making the rounds throughout the day, joining in, and closing out the show at the end of the day

Kathryn Jae, a talented local singer wowed the crowd with her powerful vocals and engaging stage presence.

Bearjamin Bear, dressed in his best, popped over to meet and greet the children (and adults!) and to welcome everyone to the event.

No fun day is complete without great food, and this year’s event delivered with a selection of local vendors:

  • Lovage and Rosemary served up fresh, wholesome dishes with a gourmet twist, perfect for a summer afternoon.
  • Jim’s Ices, a classic favourites, offered a wide range of ice cream flavours that kept everyone cool and smiling.
  • Treatopia, a sweet tooth’s dream, with colourful treats for all ages.
  • Kingsman’s Cakes beautifully crafted cakes and bakes were as delicious as they were eye-catching.

Building Community Connections

The event was more than just a fun day out—it was a chance for residents to connect with local groups, learn about ongoing projects, and celebrate the vibrant community spirit that defines Abergele. Abergele Town Council would like to thank everyone for coming out and celebrating our park and our Fun Day 2025 was a resounding success, bringing people together in a joyful celebration of our park and our community.
