Welsh Water Projects

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water has been working in our local area over the past year and have kindly donated a series of SMART sensors to the town. 

This includes a weather station, soil moisture sensors, and water level sensors, situated at various points in and around town. The sensors collect real-time data about our environment, and provide a fantastic opportunity to observe patterns, support learning, and aid decision-making.

And Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is still engaged here in town: 

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water have started their “Water Efficient Smart Town” project in Abergele. With the aim to better understand how they can support customers to reduce their water consumption, through retro-fit water efficiency devices, and through engagement and education to encourage behavioural change, they are working with domestic and business customers along with supporting local community groups and hubs. Many customers have already been engaged by Dwr Cymru and received their free shower heads and other devices to trial. Their work will continue over the coming months, so keep and eye out for their flyers, letters and emails informing you of how you can be involved.
